Learning The Coptic Stitch for Bookbinding

With a bit of help from the Cowardly Lion, I set out to stitch the binding of this small book. The inner pages (called signatures) were cut from cardstock with the edges inked. The covers used were medium weight chipboard covered with Oz movie paper.

Typically, the coptic stitching is done with waxed linen or cotton thread. Since this was experimental, I used embroidery thread which worked well for my purpose.

A cute book for use as a journal, I see this ending up in a Christmas present this coming year for one of the grandkids.
